Furocity is a social networking website, image gallery, and roleplaying profile site aimed at gamers of all ages. The site has gone through major evolutions since it's founding several years ago, and to this day has a registered userbase of over 34,000 people.

The site was founded in Fall 2003. Originally, the site was strictly designed for roleplaying profiles and social networking in one game; over time though, the website became useful for other roleplaying games, such as World of Warcraft and Ragnarok Online, and soon became an important site for roleplayers.

Project Details

Furocity was entirely recoded in Spring of 2009, in order to keep up with changing web design philosophies, and to shift the focus of the site to multimedia upload.

The updated version of Furocity has support for multiple users and user levels, each with varying access to the site's modules: Blogging, Galleries, Groups, and Events.

This new version launched about six months later at beginning of October, incorporating support for written and musical submissions. Since the launch of the new version of the site, Furocity has amassed thousands of submissions from its users.
